Modern migration processes in the region

The discipline gives an idea of population migration as a demographic and social process of great importance in the formation of the population of countries and regions. The objectives of the discipline are to provide a systematized understanding of modern approaches, principles and methods of studying migration processes, the trends of population migration in Korea and foreign countries, the peculiarities of collecting information on the spatial movement of population, and the principles, goals and measures of migration policy. The course devotes considerable attention to theories and concepts of population migration, as well as migration policy issues - in both global and country contexts, with a special focus on the Republic of Korea
