The program is aimed at consistent presentation of the main problem areas of translation theory, mastering the basic concepts and terminology. Students will familiarize themselves with various aspects of translation, lexical and grammatical transformations, as well as expressive aspects of translation activity. As a result of the course, students master the necessary amount of theoretical knowledge, get an idea of the importance of translation theory in the system of language sciences, of the problems related to understanding and interpreting different genres of foreign texts.
